WAIS — the Web Agent Interaction Standard — exists to make sure any website can welcome any agent, from any platform, with verifiable human authorization. No single company should own the bridge between agents and the web.
We build and maintain WAIS in the open: the spec, reference implementation, and tooling are all open source under MIT. Sponsorship funds the work that keeps it that way.

The alternative
